Maple ships as 4 racks. Pick blush pink and the four match; pick the mixed option and each rack is a different color, with pink, yellow and dark green among them.

The racks are made of layered composite wood with a smooth finish and no rough edges, then painted. Up close, the grain texture still shows through the color.

Each rack is a simple L-shaped stand with a groove along the front. With no pusher arm, Maple holds a hand of mahjong tiles or a row of dominoes just as well.

Length. A rack has to take a full hand with room to spare. Check the stated length against your tile size: 32 mm tiles need noticeably more rack than 26 mm ones.

With or without a pusher. A pusher is the bar that lets you move the wall forward without lifting it tile by tile. It is standard at American tables and optional everywhere else.

Material. Acrylic is light and wipes clean. Wood is heavier and sits quieter on a bare table.
