Everything for four players in one bag
Zinnia arrives with 166 tiles, 4 racks with pushers, 100 scoring chips, 3 dice, a wind indicator and a How to Play Mah-Jongg booklet. All of it goes into a raspberry red soft bag with a felt lining, a zip pocket, a double zipper and two handles.
Racks in four colors, pushers held by magnets
The four racks are translucent blue, pink, yellow and aqua, one per seat. Each pusher attaches with hidden magnets, lifts off when the game ends and stores on its rack.
Tiles counted for the American game
The 166 tiles break down into 36 dots, 36 bams, 36 craks, 12 dragons, 16 winds, 16 flowers, 10 jokers and 4 blank spares. Bams and craks carry an Arabic number in the corner, and each wind adds a letter E, S, W or N beside its character. With red and green dragons in the mix, the same tiles also play a Chinese-style game.

Play tonight
Tiles, and everything the case holds, in one box. Unwrap it, deal a hand, and your table is running.
The sound alone
Shuffling a real set is half the pleasure. Weight in your hand, that clack across the table: you can hear it before you see it.
Yours for twenty years
A set outlasts the group it started with. Choose one you'll still want on the table when someone else is dealing.
Frequently asked questions
What comes with Zinnia?
keyboard_arrow_down
166 white melamine tiles, 4 racks with magnetic pushers, 100 scoring chips, 3 dice, a wind indicator and a How to Play Mah-Jongg booklet, all in a soft zip bag. Only the yearly game card is missing.
How many jokers and blanks does Zinnia have?
keyboard_arrow_down
Ten jokers and 4 blank spares, within 166 tiles: 36 dots, 36 bams, 36 craks, 12 dragons, 16 winds and 16 flowers. A blank can stand in for a lost tile.
Are the Zinnia tiles easy to read?
keyboard_arrow_down
Bams and craks show an Arabic number in the corner, and each wind adds E, S, W or N beside its Chinese character, so new players can sort a hand without learning the characters first.
How do the Zinnia pushers attach?
keyboard_arrow_down
Each pusher holds to its rack with hidden magnets. It lifts off when you pack up and stores on the rack, so every pusher stays with its own rack in the bag.
Play in Style with The Mahjong Section
A mahjong set is handled more than almost anything else in the house: every tile passes through four pairs of hands, several times a game.
That is what we select for. Tiles that read clearly from the far side of the table, edges that stay clean, and a case that still closes after a few seasons of being carried around.
A Set Worth Collecting
Sets differ in ways that only show at the table: the weight of a tile in the hand, how a crak reads from three seats away, whether the case survives the trip to a friend’s house.
When we have the figures, we publish them: tile count, tile size, weight and material. When we do not have one, we leave it out rather than guess.
