Each Celadon tile is a translucent pink veined with white, and the veining shifts from one tile to the next. The characters, dots and bamboos have an engraved, color-filled look in white that stands out on the pink.

The tiles sit in fitted trays: characters, dots and bamboos, plus winds, dragons, flowers and seasons. Extra tiles round out the set, among them 飛 tiles, animal tiles and figure tiles. There are no American jokers.

Tile size. From 30 mm upward reads comfortably from the seat opposite. Between 24 and 29 mm suits two players better than four. Below 24 mm is made to pack, not to read at a distance.
