Mahjong sets are compared by their headline number, and the number on its own says very little. A 160 tile American set is 108 suit tiles, 16 winds, 12 dragons, 8 flowers, 10 jokers and 6 blanks. Change the joker count and the set plays a different game; change the blanks and it stops being repairable.
